Here is the poster for the James Bond Film ‘Casino Royale’. The poster has been designed to show the audience what the ‘new Bond’ is all about. This was Daniel Craig’s first role in the films and as expected not everyone was convinced by the casting choice. However the poster has been designed to portray Craig in many ways.
The first thing we tend to see is Bonds contrast between the grey background, used to emphasising the character. The suit, slightly open suggests movement with the sense of style and wealth. The use of the undone tie and gun signifies that the character is a little loose and sloppy in approach.
The outlined figure of the girl suggests glamour and mystery as we cant see her face. The fill contains the hotel, another suggestion of wealth and power as well as the new Bond car, the Aston Martin. The car counterpart, complements and reflects well on the image that Bond is given in this film, both being depicted as stylish, expensive and the idea of power. We relation of speed and movement could also be said of the jacket and the car.
